India have become the first full-member cricket team to win 10 T20Is with a margin of 100 runs or more. They achieved the record 10th one against Afghanistan on Thursday (September 17) in the last match of the three-T20I series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium with a margin of 127 runs.
Only Canada, which is an associate nation and thus plays relatively weaker teams than full members, has also achieved ten such wins. Among full members, the teams behind India is Zimbabwe with eight and Pakistan and England with six.

Electing to bat first, India got off to a flying start as Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson tore into the Afghanistan bowling attack. Abhishek brought up his fifty in just 16 balls, while Samson also raced to his half-century as the opening
pair added 142 runs.
Abhishek was eventually dismissed for 108 off 34 balls, including nine fours and 11 sixes. Samson followed after making 50 off 35 balls, while Rashid also ran out Tilak Varma and caught Samson. India lost a few wickets towards the end, but Shreyas Iyer’s 29 helped them finish on 221/7.
Afghanistan began their chase positively, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran collecting boundaries in the opening over. However, Axar Patel dismissed Gurbaz with his first ball, triggering a collapse. Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli and Zadran soon followed as Afghanistan slipped to four down inside the power play.
Ibrahim Zadran top-scored with 25, while Azmatullah Omarzai made 17, but Afghanistan never recovered after their early setbacks as Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi then cleaned up the lower order. Reddy claimed 3-25, while Bishnoi took 3-26 as Afghanistan were bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs.
