Huge Garland Around Pawan Kalyan’s OG Cutout Catches Fire Outside Theatre, Video Goes Viral

They Call Him OG, the Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi starrer crime action thriller, hit the big screen, and the release was nothing short of a grand celebration with fans of the actor welcoming the film in theatres with full excitement. Fans of the actors burst crackers and put out giant cutouts of Pawan Kalyan outside the theatres. However, outside a cinema hall during the grand celebration, an unfortunate incident occurred when a garland placed on one of the cutouts caught fire during the premiere celebration.

A video of a huge garland placed around a humongous cutout of Pawan Kalyan catching fire is going viral. The video has fans and netizens reacting to it. An X user, while sharing the clip, wrote, “Unfortunately, the garland put on the cutout caught

fire. But that too has turned into an elevation for us, perfect ga tesadu video evado kani (Whoever took the video took it perfectly).”

“The fire incident on the Pawan Kalyan cutout garland happened at Venkateswara Theatre in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, India, during a fan launch event on September 24, 2025. The cause appears to be accidental, possibly from nearby blasting crackers,” another fan re-shared.

While there has been no report of any injury during the incident, News18 couldn’t verify the exact location where the incident happened.

They Call Him OG Box Office Collection Day 1

According to sacnilk.com, They Call Him OG minted a whopping Rs 70 crore on its Day 1 across all languages, net in India. Not just this, the film also earned Rs 20.25 crore in Telugu as part of paid previews on the pre-release day.

Therefore, the total earnings of the film after the first day of its release now stand at Rs 90.25 crore at the domestic box office.

Set in the turbulent 1990s, the tale revolves around Satya Dada (Prakash Raj), a Mumbai port owner whose empire is under siege by the ruthless Mirajkar (Tej Sapru) and his impulsive son Jimmy (Sudhev Nair). When a lost container containing explosives causes havoc, Jimmy unleashes horror, killing indiscriminately, including Satya Dada’s younger son.
