New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) Overnight leader Anas Khan cruised to an easy win in the boys’ Category A (15-18 years) of the NCR Cup Junior Golf Tournament, bagging the title by 13 strokes here on Friday.
Despite a poor final round, where he shot 6-over par, the massive advantage he built over the first two days allowed him to win with ease and take the winner’s cheque.
Siddhaan Chhibber took second place on a superior countback score after a four-way tie emerged for the runner-up spot between him, Devvrat Singh Rajawat, Anshh Dubey and Ayaan Dubey at the Delhi Golf Club.
In the girls’ Category A, local favourite Ayesha Gupta shot a 75 to add to her scores of 77 and 75 in the first two rounds, comfortably finishing ahead of Apeksha Grace David.
In boys’
Category B (13-14 years), Chaitanya Pandey won by eight strokes, posting rounds of 72, 74 and 74 over three days. Sakshit Purendre and first-round leader Aditya Misra finished tied for second place at 12-over par for the tournament.
