Vijay Sethupathi And Sai Pallavi Starrer To Kick Off With Promo Shoot In April: Report

Mani Ratnam is gearing up for his next ambitious project, and fresh updates about the film have already started creating buzz online. The yet-untitled film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi is expected to kick off with a special promotional shoot in this month.

Pinkvilla has reported that the actors will be doing promo shoot in April and then the shoot will begin. The announcement was also made earlier this month. According to the 123 Telugu report, Mani Ratnam is planning to rope in young music sensation Sai Abyankkar for the project. The romantic drama is likely to be jointly bankrolled by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions and the shoot is expected to commence in the summer. But an official confirmation is still awaited.

Vijay Sethupathi Confirms Doing Film With Mani Ratnam

In February, Vijay Sethupathi confirmed that he is reuniting with Mani Ratnam for a new project. He will be starring opposite Sai Pallavi. Well, more details have not been revealed regarding this project. Earlier, 123 Telugu reported that Mani Ratnam has finalized Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi for the lead roles in his next directorial. Recently, he was quoted as saying, “I’ve worked with Mani Sir before in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018). This time, we’re doing something completely different. Sai Pallavi is playing the female lead. The Vijay Sethupathi who entered the industry seeking small roles is still alive.” He also added that he wants to ensure his zeal remains unchanged, even while working with a master filmmaker like Mani Ratnam.

Vijay Sethupathi And Sai Pallavi’s Latest Projects

Vijay is set to work with Thiagarajan Kumararaja, one of Tamil cinema’s highly acclaimed directors in Pocket Novel. It also stars Malavika Mohanan, and Raj B Shetty. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan and Raj B Shetty, who will play the leads, the film will also include versatile actor Kishore in a key role.

The film has an extraordinarily talented technical staff. It will be directed by one of India’s best cinematographers, Nirav Shah, and scored by none other than Isaiganani Ilaiyaraaja. Interestingly, the script for this film was written by filmmaker Andrew Louis, who is recognised for his work on Kolagaran and the web series Vadandhi. Sathyaraj Natarajan will edit the film, while S D Ezhilmathy will design the costumes.

Sai Pallavi will be next seen in Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor. The makers have released the teaser which has been grabbing attention.
