Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 is maintaining a stable run at the domestic box office, inching closer to the ₹25 crore milestone by the end of its sixth day in theatres. The crime thriller, which released on Friday, has been witnessing consistent footfalls, driven largely by positive word of mouth and the franchise’s loyal audience base.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Mardaani 3 has earned ₹24.35 crore nett in India so far. While the film saw its strongest performance over the opening weekend, weekday collections have remained respectable, indicating steady audience interest.
Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 6
The film opened on a solid note, earning ₹4 crore on day one. Its collections saw an upward trend over the weekend, with ₹6.25 crore on day two and ₹7.25 crore on day three.
As expected, weekday numbers dipped, with the film collecting ₹2.25 crore on day four and ₹2.60 crore on day five.
On day six, Mardaani 3 added ₹2 crore nett to its total, taking its overall domestic collection to ₹24.35 crore. The film now stands just a step away from crossing the ₹25 crore mark in India, a milestone it is likely to achieve soon if the current trend continues.
Apart from Rani Mukerji in the lead role, the film also stars Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad in pivotal parts.
About Mardaani 3 And Rani Mukerji’s Statement
Directed by Abhiraj Minwala and written by Aayush Gupta, Mardaani 3 is produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. The film once again sees Rani Mukerji reprise her role as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy, a character that has become synonymous with strong, no-nonsense female-led storytelling in Hindi cinema.
The plot follows Shivani as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of 93 young girls over a span of three months, pushing her into a dark and disturbing world of crime. The Mardaani franchise has consistently focused on socially relevant themes. While the first film, released in 2014 and directed by Pradeep Sarkar, dealt with human trafficking, Mardaani 2, helmed by Gopi Puthran, explored the psyche of a brutal serial offender. The third instalment continues this legacy by tackling another urgent social issue.
Earlier this week, Rani Mukerji spoke about the intent behind the film and its impact on audiences. “This film belongs to every viewer who believes that cinema can do more than entertain… it can maybe speak to our conscience. If Mardaani 3 has moved you, disturbed you, or made you think – then it has done its job. Discomfort is where change begins,” she said, as quoted by news agency PTI.
