Delhi, Sep 8 (PTI) Activist Tehseen Poonawalla and two others were detained and taken to Mandir Marg Police Station on Tuesday while they were holding a candlelight vigil for those who died in the Satya Niketan building collapse, police said.
Poonawalla on X said he was detained along with Abhinay and Kuldeep Jansangh while lighting candles for the victims.
The police said the three were taken to Mandir Marg Police Station.
Sunday’s Satya Niketan PG collapse claimed seven lives and several injuries. The police are investigating alleged violations and negligence linked to the five-storey paying guest accommodation and have arrested its owners and operators. PTI SSJ VN VN
