Cup 2025 Super 4s match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium helped India qualify for the final.
In the final of the ongoing tournament in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, India will face the winner of Thursday’s match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Bangladesh and Pakistan have both won one out of two matches played so far in the Super 4s stage, and whichever team manages to win Thursday’s contest will seal a date against India in the final on Sunday, September 28.

India’s win over Bangladesh also meant the end of Sri Lanka’s campaign. The Islanders qualified for the Super 4s after winning all three matches in Group B, but they went down by 4 wickets against Bangladesh in their first Super 4s match on Saturday, September 20, and by five wickets against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, September 23.
For India, apart from Abhishek, Hardik Pandya scored 38 runs from 29 balls, and Shubman Gill made a contribution of 29 runs from 19 balls.
In the bowling, Kuldeep Yadav dismissed three Bangladeshi batters for 18 runs in four overs, and two opposition batters each were sent back to the pavilion by Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakaravarthy.
For Bangladesh, opener Saif Hassan scored 69 runs from 51 balls, but no other batter was able to make any significant contribution.
The three wickets on Wednesday by Kuldeep helped him extend his tally of wickets to 31 in the Asia Cup. He now tops the list of bowlers with the most wickets for Team India in the premier continental event. Kuldeep broke Ravindra Jadeja’s record. Jadeja has played 26 matches so far in the Asia Cup (ODIs and T20Is combined) and dismissed 29 batters, whereas Kuldeep has played 16 matches so far.
