The Manchester City academy product had loan spell at Barnsley and Burnley, before making a permanent switch to the latter in 2012, where he played for three years. He made the switch to Tottenham in 2015 and was part of Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs unit that made a deep-run in the UCL in the year 2019-2020 as they reached the final of the continental showpiece before falling flat to Liverpool in the final of the event.
Trippier moved abroad to represent Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid for a brief stint in 2019, and went on to win the La Liga crown in the 2020-21 season.
Krippier returned to English shores with the Magpies in the year 2022 and helped Eddie Howe and Co. clinch the 2024-25 EFL Cup, and make the Tyneside team a contender for a berth in UEFA Champions League.
