Rohit Sharma continues to prepare for the upcoming three-match ODI series in Australia. The ex-captain recently was spotted training at the famous Shivaji Park of Mumbai, which triggered a frenzy as fans mobbed the two-time T20 World Cup winner.
Abhishek Nayar, the ex-India batting coach, urged the fans to show restraint and not push the India batting star. However, the ever-gracious opener appeared more than happy to oblige a kid who was stopped in his tracks by the security.
In fact, a viral video shows Rohit losing his cool at the person who may have used force to stop the kid from approaching the 38-year-old. The seasoned cricketer was furious and later seen giving the guilty party a piece of his mind.
A security guard stopped a kid a bit too
harshly, Rohit immediately intervened and asked him to let the kid come. 🥹🤌🏻

Rohit was recently felicitated at a cricket awards show in Mumbai for captaining India to Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai where they remained unbeaten.
“Look, I love that team, loved playing with them, and it’s a journey that we were all into for many years. It’s not about one year or two years of work. It was about getting into work from many years,” Rohit said. “We’d come so close to winning that trophy many times, but we couldn’t just get over the line. That is where everyone decided that we need to do something different, and there are two (ways) to look at it.” There’s always a thought of doing that and then actually going and doing that. It cannot be done by one or two players. We needed everyone to buy into that thought, which was good from everyone.”
Nayar’s Appeal To Fans
As Rohit was making his way out of the Shivaji Park, a huge crowd gathered outside the exit door, forcing Abhishek Nayar, a former India assistant coach and a close friend of the India batter, to appeal to the fans, “Koi dhakka mat dena, hum sab fans hain, lekin usko lagna nahi chahiye (We are all fans but please don’t push him).”
