The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the final answer key of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 today, December 16, 2025 for both UG and PG courses. The results will be announced
tomorrow before 10 AM. There is no change in the UG provisional answer key, stated the official notice. All the candidates who appeared for the examination can check the final answer key now by visiting the official website of CLAT, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
In case of UG paper, “There is no change in the provisional answer key or to any question published on 10th December 2025. Therefore, the provisional answer key published is considered as final. Accordingly, the evaluation of candidates for the CLAT 2026 UG shall be out of 119 marks.”
While the answer for three questions have been modified in CLAT PG. A separate notification explaining the grievance filing process will be uploaded on the website of the Consortium on 17.12.2025 by 12 noon, the notice stated.

Step 1 — Visit the CLAT 2026 website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2 — Click on the final answer key link.
Step 3 — The final answer key will be displayed on the screen in a PDF format.
Step 4 — Check and download. Save a copy for further use.
As per the marking scheme, for every correct answer, candidates will earn one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response. After the results are out tomorrow, counselling sessions will be organised nationwide for the admission of students in law courses at both graduate and postgraduate levels.

What Happened Last Year?
The overall attendance percentage for CLAT 2025 was 96.33 per cent, according to the official website. Among those who took the exam, 57 per cent were females, 43 per cent were males, and 9 candidates were transgender. A male student from Haryana and another from Madhya Pradesh achieved the highest score in the CLAT UG 2025 exam with a 99.997 percentile. Meanwhile, a female student from Odisha topped the CLAT PG 2025 exam with a 99.993 percentile.
