Star India batter Smriti Mandhana entered her name in the record books on Wednesday (June 17) by becoming the first player in T20I history — men’s and women’s cricket combined — to hit 600 fours. The 30-year-old left-handed opener from Maharashtra achieved the feat during India’s second Group A match of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup against the Netherlands in Leeds.
Mandhana scored 74 runs off 47 balls, smashing 11 fours and one six. She also shared a 115-run opening partnership with Shafali Verma, who made 55 off 38 deliveries.
The 11 boundaries took Mandhana’s tally to 604 fours in women’s T20Is. She sits comfortably at the top of the list for most fours in women’s T20I cricket, ahead of Suzie Bates and Chamari Athapaththu.
