Zendaya surprised her followers by sharing the first look poster of her upcoming romantic comedy The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson. The image has instantly taken over social media, with fans celebrating
the unexpected pairing and calling it a potential revival moment for the rom-com genre.
In the poster, Zendaya and Pattinson are seen in a soft, intimate frame that has sparked massive curiosity. A small but noticeable detail — a ring on Zendaya’s finger — has pushed fans into full detective mode, with many speculating that her character gets engaged to Pattinson’s character in the film. The Drama is slated to hit theatres on April 3, 2026.

‘I’m Simply Too Seated’: Fans Flood Social Media With Hilarious Reactions
The internet wasted no time reacting to the poster, with fans flooding X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram with funny, dramatic, and obsessive responses.
One fan wrote, “I’m seated. the theatre employees are scared and asking me to leave because it’s not even April 3rd 2026 yet, but i’m simply too seated.” Another joked, “girl i thought u were engaged to robert pattinson!” A third fan added, “Batman really stealing spideys girl!” — a playful nod to Pattinson playing Batman and Zendaya’s real-life fiancé Tom Holland starring as Spider-Man.
The excitement doesn’t stop at just The Drama. Zendaya and Pattinson are also set to appear together in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, where they will portray Athena and Antinous. The epic is scheduled for release on July 17, and is already one of the most awaited projects on Nolan’s slate.
The Drama is produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen under the Square Peg banner. This marks yet another collaboration between Square Peg and A24, who have previously teamed up on acclaimed titles like Dream Scenario, Death of a Unicorn, Eddington, Hereditary, and Midsommar.
Both stars remain booked and busy beyond this project. Pattinson was last seen in Die My Love alongside Jennifer Lawrence and will next be seen in Dune: Part Three as Scytale, The Batman: Part II, and Here Comes the Flood opposite Denzel Washington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Moises Arias.
Zendaya, meanwhile, is preparing for a packed 2026 with her return as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Rue Bennett in the third and final season of Euphoria, and Chani in Dune: Part Three.
