World No. 1 T20I team India will be the favorite to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue have won 7 out of their last nine T20I matches played in India, and with their batters and bowlers in red-hot form, it will be a shocking result if India fails to successfully defend their T20 World Cup title in front of home fans. India won the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma’s leadership by winning all eight matches, and in 2026, Surya’s men will have a chance to go one step ahead and win the tournament by winning all nine matches.
In the previous nine editions of the T20 World Cup, no team has successfully managed to defend their title, and also no host nation has ever
managed to become champion. But Surya’s men are primed to be the first this year.
