The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is set to expand its horizon with the upcoming release, Thamma. The film is set to release this Diwali and stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rashmika Mandanna in never before seen roles. While the cast members are going all out to promote the film in all corners of the country, the makers are also implementing unique techniques. Reportedly, Maddock Films’ latest move allows fans to be the first to watch Thamma, a day before its countrywide premiere on October 21.
Maddock Films are set to organise special midnight screenings for the film. A source close to the production house told Pinkvilla, “Dinesh Vijan is planning special midnight shows for Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika
Mandanna, on October 20. After successfully hosting similar midnight screenings for Munjya and Stree 2, he’s continuing the strategy with Thamma as part of his cinematic universe. These shows will be paid previews across major national multiplex chains, offering fans an exclusive early experience before the film’s official release on October 21.”
Thamma’s Special Screening In Delhi
The majority of the cast members, including producer Dinesh Vijan, were in Delhi for a special screening event. Fans got to see the first 20 minutes before the rest of the world. The event, presented by comedians Biswa Kalyan Rath and Divay Agarwal, was pretty entertaining. At the event, Dinesh Vijan shared, “This is the beginning of a fan ritual. From now on, fans will see a glimpse of the film before the world. We’re building a universe that belongs to its fans.” Paresh Rawal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, director Aditya Sarpotdar and producer Dinesh Vijan attended the event.
Thamma: Plot and Cast
Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror comedy franchise. Along with Rashmika and Ayushmann, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. The film mostly focuses on World of Vampires and is billed as a “bloody love story.” Thamma, which will be released on October 21, promises to be a rollercoaster of shivers and laughs.
