Singer Lucky Ali recently offered a rare glimpse into his spiritual life as he embarked on a meaningful journey to Mecca with his son, Ta’awwuz. The celebrated musician performed Umrah alongside his child,
sharing the deeply personal moment with his followers on social media.
Posting a photograph from the pilgrimage, Lucky wrote, “First umrah with the kids. If I hurt anyone I ask for forgiveness… lots of love everyone.” In the image, the singer is seen dressed in white Ihram, standing alongside his son, a team member Mezaan Ali, and another companion, all reflecting the solemnity of the occasion.
The post resonated with fans, many of whom flooded the comments with warmth and admiration. One user wrote, “Ali, you’re lucky! Not everyone gets a chance for such a humble & divine performance.”
A Glimpse Into His Spiritual World
This isn’t the first time Lucky Ali has shared moments from his faith journey. Back in 2022, the singer had posted pictures from a visit to Medina with his daughter Tasmiyah. Captioning the post, he had written, “Father-daughter time…on the bullet train to Madinah.” The images had offered a quiet, intimate look into his otherwise private personal life.
Over the years, Lucky has occasionally allowed fans to see this reflective, spiritual side of him, standing in contrast to the reclusive image he often maintains in public life.
The Javed Akhtar Controversy
In October 2025, Lucky Ali also made headlines for a very different reason. A resurfaced video of lyricist Javed Akhtar sparked controversy after remarks he made during a panel discussion on freedom of expression, where he urged Hindus “not to become like Muslims.” The comment was widely criticised for its perceived communal undertone.
Reacting strongly on X, Lucky Ali had lashed out, calling Akhtar “never original and ugly as fk,”** accusing him of arrogance and of repeatedly trashing the Muslim community. The post quickly went viral, igniting intense debate across social media platforms.
