After winning everyone’s hearts in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are reuniting again and honestly, we can’t be more excited. Next up, they will be seen in Udta Teer which is a spy comedy. The film has now been postponed though so fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favourite duo on screen.
Earlier, Udta Teer was supposed to release on September 11, 2026. Now, the release date has been postponed to October 9, 2026.
Originally scheduled to hit theatres on September 11, Udta Teer was set to release alongside Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali. The makers have now postponed the spy comedy’s release and moved it to the Navratri period. According to the official announcement, Udta Teer will
arrive in cinemas on October 9, 2026.
The statement reads, “Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, UDTA TEER brings together humour, chaos and an entertaining family-friendly narrative, marking Ayushmann’s return to the space of comedy-led entertainers.”
Udta Teer is directed by Akash A Kaushik, which marks his debut as a director. As per reports, Udta Teer shoot started in 2024 but shoot was stopped. Later, reports suggested that the film was in limbo after its first schedule wrapped in 2024. But, things picked up in the first quarter of 2026. It has been learnt that the actors shot an extensive schedule in Mumbai in February, including a massive song sequence.
Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain have produced Udta Teer under Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. For Ayushmann Khurrana, the film marks his maiden collaboration with Dharma Productions.
