Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly escalated his ongoing family rift with parents David and Victoria Beckham by sending a legal notice requesting “no contact.” According to a report by the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old chef and his famous parents exchanged letters last summer, but communication allegedly took place only through their respective legal teams.
As tensions within the Beckham family continue to simmer, Brooklyn is said to have made it clear that he does not want his parents contacting him directly or making public statements about him on social media. Instead, he reportedly asked that any communication be routed strictly through his lawyers. The move is believed to have come after Brooklyn took offence to briefings about his wife, actor
Nicola Peltz, which suggested that he was being “controlled” by her and was effectively a “hostage.”
A source told the outlet, “David was told to speak to them via [law firm] Schillings. That was the only way for them to communicate.” Representatives for both Brooklyn and David Beckham did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Rift Deepens Amid Social Media Claims
The reported legal notice follows weeks of speculation about strained relations within the Beckham household. Last month, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz addressed rumours on social media, denying claims that David and Victoria had blocked Brooklyn on Instagram. Cruz insisted it was Brooklyn who had cut off contact online.
“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son,” Cruz wrote.
“Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I,” he added.
Fuel was further added to speculation when Brooklyn was noticeably absent from David Beckham’s Instagram roundup of his 2025 year, which featured his other children—Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14. However, on the same day, the former footballer did share a photo of himself with Brooklyn on his Instagram Story, suggesting at least a public gesture of unity.
David accompanied the post with an emotional message expressing gratitude for his family and love for all four of his children. “You are my life,” he wrote in part. “I love you all, Love Daddy.” Victoria Beckham later reshared the same Instagram Story featuring Brooklyn.
Brooklyn ‘Focused on Peaceful Life’ With Nicola
Despite these public gestures, sources claim the rift remains unresolved. Last October, an insider told Us Weekly that Brooklyn had “no interest” in reconciling with his family following their falling out. According to the source, he is currently “really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life” with his wife Nicola Peltz.
