The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the dates for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG 2026) and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance
Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS 2026). The schedule is available on the official website at at natboard.edu.in.
According to the notification, the NEET-PG 2026 exam will be held on August 30, 2026, while the NEET-MDS 2026 is scheduled for May 2, 2026. Both exams will be conducted as computer-based tests (CBT) at designated centres nationwide.
The board has also set the internship completion deadlines for eligibility. Candidates must complete their internship by May 31, 2026, for NEET-MDS 2026, and by September 30, 2026, for NEET-PG 2026.
NBEMS stressed that admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses is exclusively through NEET-PG, and no state government, private medical college, or university may conduct a separate entrance exam for these programmes. However, some medical institutions are exempt from NEET-PG admissions. Candidates should refer to the respective Information Bulletin for specific details.

NEET PG, MDS Examination Schedule 2026: How To Check
Step 1 – Visit the official website at natboard.edu.in.
Step 2 – On the homepage, go to the notifications section.
Step 3 – Click on the link that states — NBEMS NEET PG, NEET MDS exam schedule for 2026.
Step 4 – The PDF will open on the screen.
Step 5 – Check the schedule and download a copy for further use.
The NBEMS had earlier announced the tentative examination schedule for FMGE, GPAT and other exams. According to the schedule, GPAT 2026 is proposed to be held on March 7, while FMGE is slated twice during the period — on January 17 for the December 2025 session and on June 28 for the June 2026 session. The DNB Final Examination for the June 2026 session is scheduled from June 18 to June 21.
