Sreeleela Returns To Sets Of Kartik Aaryan-Anurag Basu’s Romantic Musical, Shoot Resumes In Mumbai: Report

Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s romantic musical with filmmaker Anurag Basu is moving ahead once again. After reports of delays surrounding the project, Sreeleela has now reportedly returned to the sets in Mumbai and resumed filming her portions.

The yet-untitled movie is particularly significant for Sreeleela as it will mark her Bollywood debut. Kartik, meanwhile, is said to have already completed most of his work on the film.

Sreeleela Resumes Shoot In Mumbai

According to Pinkvilla, Sreeleela has joined the film’s ongoing schedule and is currently shooting in Mumbai. A source associated with the project said that filming is proceeding according to plan.

“Sreeleela has resumed shooting for Anurag Basu’s next in Mumbai. She is currently shooting her

portions, and the schedule is progressing as planned. The film is being mounted as a large-scale, intense romantic musical and is expected to be one of the major upcoming releases,” the insider said.

The development comes after the project reportedly encountered several delays because of scheduling issues.

Kartik is believed to have filmed extensively for the movie already. A recent report claimed that the actor was “more or less” finished with his portions, leaving Sreeleela to complete her remaining work.

Is The Film Titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai?

Ever since the project was announced, there has been considerable curiosity about its connection with the Aashiqui franchise. It was initially rumoured to be Aashiqui 3, but subsequent reports suggested that the film is an original romantic drama with no connection to the popular franchise.

The movie is reportedly titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, although an official title announcement is awaited.

Music is expected to remain integral to Basu’s love story. Pritam has been brought on board as the composer, with the songs reportedly woven closely into the narrative rather than functioning merely as standalone additions.

Before the reported production delays, the makers were said to be targeting a 2026 theatrical release.

What’s Next For Kartik Aaryan And Sreeleela?

Kartik was last seen opposite Ananya Panday in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans. His upcoming slate also includes Naagzilla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.

Sreeleela, meanwhile, was recently seen alongside Pawan Kalyan in Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Apart from her Hindi film debut with Kartik, she also has Om Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood in the pipeline.
