Urvashi Rautela, who often makes headlines for her glamorous appearances, bold statements, and social media presence, spoke about her experience of working with actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. She collaborated with him, Daaku Maharaaj. In 2025, their song Dabidi Dibidi grabbed attention on the internet due to their unusual pairing and the choreography. In the recent interview, Urvashi heaped praise on the senior actor, offering a different perspective altogether.
While speaking to Radio Nasha, Urvashi Rautela reacted to the criticism surrounding her union with Balakrishna in Daaku Maharaaj. She said, “I don’t know… sometimes it’s like one thing leads to another thing, then third thing, fourth thing… it was like that.” During the interaction,
she called herself “lucky” to work with Balakrishna. She added, “Working with him was definitely really, really amazing… and if you watch the film, do watch our action sequences also… that is really kickass.”
Nandamuri Balakrishna has often gone viral for his interactions with fans, with several videos showing him reacting aggressively or even tossing away mobile phones. Addressing the same, Urvashi said she had witnessed such moments herself, but added that people should understand the context behind those incidents before judging them. The actress shared, “Yeah, many times I’ve seen… and it always used to be like…it used to be fun watching all this.”
Reacting to how fans react to his antics, she said, “They also love it… they are also happy… you won’t imagine.” Urvashi added that it was Balakrishna who wished her first on Valentine’s Day. “Last year on Valentine’s Day, Balakrishna garu was the first person who wished me. That’s so cute,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Urvashi is currently busy promoting her upcoming series, Inspector Avinash Season 2. She will be seen alongside Randeep Hooda. Talking about her series, she earlier shared in a statement, “Inspector Avinash Season 2 is bigger, bolder, and more explosive than ever. Being part of a story packed with action, emotion, and unexpected twists has been an incredible ride. Every scene pushes the intensity to another level. Partnering with JioHotstar for a show of this scale has been amazing, and I can’t wait for audiences to feel the adrenaline and drama we’ve created.”
It is all set to stream on JioHotstar on May 15.
