Popular Swedish DJ and producer Axel Christofer Hedfors, famously known as Axwell, one-third of the legendary Swedish House Mafia, is all set to return to India this December for a spectacular performance.
Axwell will headline the highly anticipated Sunburn Festival 2025 in Mumbai, scheduled from December 19 to 21.
The festival will also feature international icons such as David Guetta, techno maestro Sara Landry and Richie Hawtin, along with India’s own Kahani, Kunal Merchant, Mathame and a DubVision B2B Third Party set. The three-day festival promises to bring together established global DJs and emerging electronic music talent, making it one of the most ambitious editions of Sunburn to date.

Axwell is no stranger to Indian audiences. His association with the country spans nearly two decades, with performances dating back to 2007. He first headlined Sunburn Goa in 2011 and later returned with Swedish House Mafia in 2013 for a highly anticipated tour that captivated fans across the nation. In 2018, he performed in India as part of the electronic duo Axwell^Ingrosso alongside fellow Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso. Most recently, Axwell energised fans during a mid-innings performance at Chennai’s M. Chidambaram Stadium during the 2024 Indian Premier League, reinforcing his status as a beloved EDM icon in the country.
