Mahoba (UP), Jun 5 (PTI) A 20-year-old man died and another person was injured after an AC installed in a rest room of a crusher plant allegedly exploded in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba, police said on Friday.
Officials said the incident took place on Thursday around 4 pm at the Bundelkhand Enterprises crusher plant in Gugaura village under Panwari police station limits.
The police said that after receiving information about the air conditioner blast, the injured persons were rushed to the Community Health Centre in Panwari for treatment, according to a statement.
Doctors declared Prakhar Kushwaha (20), a resident of Dharoun village under Kabrai police station area, dead, while the other injured person, identified as Lalaram (45), a resident of Julheti
village in Panwari area, was referred to a higher medical centre in Jhansi for better treatment, according to the statement.
The police said they had informed the families of the deceased and injured about the incident and sent the body for post-mortem examination after completing the necessary formalities in the presence of the relatives.
No complaint has been received so far in the matter and further legal action is being taken as per law based on the facts gathered during the investigation, the police said.
Officials from the sub-divisional administration, police, mining department, electricity department, fire department and other agencies concerned reached the spot and are conducting a detailed inquiry. A joint report is being prepared, following which necessary action will be taken, the statement added. PTI KIS APL APL
