Actor Nandish Sandhu has finally reacted to the chatter surrounding singer-composer Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana, whose wedding was called off in November last year. Speaking candidly in an interview, Nandish made it clear that he did not want to speculate or add to the noise already circulating online. “It’s better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palash speak from his side,” he said, adding that he felt nobody had reached out to Palash directly for his version of events.
Nandish stressed that he was not aware of the full details and did not want to comment without knowing the complete picture.

‘I Had Gone For The Wedding, That Didn’t Happen’ Nandish revealed that he was
invited to the wedding and had even made plans to attend. However, things changed suddenly. “I’d gone for the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I just got to know that it’s not happening at the moment,” he said. According to him, the postponement was initially attributed to a medical emergency in Smriti Mandhana’s family. “It’s postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti’s dad wasn’t well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything has been postponed,” Nandish explained. He added that he later came across further developments through news reports and social media. “Later on, I got to know through news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it,” he said, clearly uncomfortable with how the situation unfolded publicly.
‘They Were Madly In Love’, Says Nandish
The actor also spoke emotionally about the couple’s relationship, saying he had personally witnessed their bond over the years. “Whatever the reason might have been, the wedding didn’t happen,” he said. “And you know, I’ve seen the love. I’ve seen how madly they were in love for the last five, six years. They were such a cute, nice couple,” he added.
Calling the situation “sad,” Nandish said it was difficult to see things reach this point after years of togetherness.
Meanwhile, developments on social media have kept the issue in the spotlight. Palash Muchhal, who had earlier left his posts untouched, has now removed all photos featuring Smriti Mandhana from his Instagram profile. Smriti had already deleted their pictures earlier. Palash has also unfollowed her on social media following allegations made by one of Smriti’s friends.
The couple’s wedding had been surrounded by speculation for months, but neither Palash nor Smriti has issued a detailed statement addressing the controversy so far.
