Thalapathy Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan recently fell prey to online piracy with leaked clips circulating across digital platforms and websites. Following the incident, the producers have now issued a firm statement condemning the unauthorized sharing of the film’s content. They warned action against the violators, stating that every digital action is traceable and urged audiences not to engage with or spread the leaked footage.
KVN Productions Issues Statement Amid Jana Nayagan Leak Row
KVN Productions LLP, the producers of Jana Nayagan, issued a firm statement addressing the situation. They noted that portions of the film had been illegally accessed and circulated by unidentified individuals, and warned that every digital action leaves a traceable footprint. “It has come to our notice that certain scenes
and clips from the said film and in some cases most of the film have been illegally accessed, copied and circulated by unidentified persons, posing a serious threat of digital piracy. We hereby notify that downloading, viewing, storing, forwarding, sharing, uploading or circulating of such leaked content through WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, websites, torrents or any other medium constitutes a criminal offence and a violation of copyright laws.”

The statement further read, “Every digital action is traceable, and we have already initiated necessary investigations including forensic investigations and complaints against persons involved and are actively identifying all others in the chain of circulation. Strict civil and criminal proceedings will be pursued against every offender without exception.”
Jana Nayagan Producers Urge Fans To Delete Leaked Clips
The producers asked viewers who had come across the leaked clips to refrain from engaging with it further and to delete any copies immediately. “The public is hereby strictly advised not to engage in any manner with such leaked content. Any person found involved shall face immediate legal action at their own risk as to consequences. If you receive such content, do not open, store, or forward it. Delete it immediately,” they wrote.
Several celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Sivakarthikeyan, Suriya and others condemned the leak of Jana Nayagan, and demanded strict action against those responsible for it.

While the film was initially set to release on 9 January 2026, it has since been indefinitely delayed due to issues between the producers and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
