In a distressing incident, a 25-year-old college student allegedly died by suicide at his hostel in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The deceased student has been identified as Krishnakant, a resident of Jharkhand.
The police discovered Krishnakant’s body in his hostel room, where he allegedly left a suicide note.
During the initial investigation, police found that Krishnakant, a second-year student pursuing a degree in Master of Computer Applications (MCA), shared his room with another student.
According to a report in NDTV, he did not attend college on Saturday and informed his roommate that he would come later. In the afternoon, his father called the roommate and urged him to hurry to their room, suggesting that Krishnakant was “about
to do something.”
The roommate quickly alerted other hostel students, who rushed to Krishnakant’s room. However, the room was locked from the inside. They broke down the door, found him hanging, and alerted police.
During probe, cops discovered a suicide note reading, “I give up. Please give my body and my things to my family. Sorry for the trouble.”
The roommate mentioned that Krishnakant had a medical condition that caused him distress and described him as a “very good” student.
