May 1 (PTI) The Punjab Assembly on Friday paid tributes to renowned photographer Raghu Rai and freedom fighter Chaman Lal during the one-day special session here.
Raghu Rai one of India’s best-known photographers whose lens captured India in its many shades, died at a private hospital in New Delhi on April 26. He was 83.
Tributes were also paid to Indo-Pak war veteran Lt. Gen. Deepinder Singh and Hockey Olympian Gurbax Singh Grewal.
Members of the House remembered them who passed away since the last session of the Assembly.
A two-minute silence was observed in their memory as a mark of respect during the obituary references. PTI CHS NB NB
