The owner in the viral clip is the MITS group founder and chairman, MK Bhatia, who can be seen giving away keys of expensive Scorpio SUVs to his subordinates.
According to Dainik Bhaskar, the top-performing employees of the MITS group were rewarded with luxury SUVs after the company grandly celebrated Diwali at its Chandigarh centre. MITS Owner Recovers From Bankruptcy, Gifts Employees Cars
Bhatia’s stunning act of generosity reflected his humble nature and gratitude towards his employees, having seen difficult times very early in his own journey. Standing today as the proud founder and chairman of the MITS group, Bhatia reportedly faced bankruptcy in 2002 after his medical store endured heavy losses. In an inspiring turnaround, he found success with MITS in 2015 and owns today as many as 12 companies under his name.
Based in the Panchkula district of Haryana, Bhatia had planned to expand the MITS group across different states in India and aimed to even venture into the overseas market. In an interaction with Medical Dialogues in 2023, Bhatia confirmed, “We had already got licenses in Canada, London and Dubai.” As part of his expansion plans, Bhatia had announced the appointment of five new directors and also made Shilpa Chandel as the company’s CEO.
Pharma Company Owner’s Gesture Stuns Internet
The clip of the MITS group founder giving away 51 luxury cars to his employees as a Diwali gift shocked people on the internet, leaving them highly envious but also slightly suspicious.
“Microbiology ki degree hai merepass??Koi scope hai kyaa company join karne kaa? Mujhe ek telescope de dena car war ni (I have a microbiology degree, do I have any scope of joining this company? Just give me a telescope, not even a car),” joked a user.
Someone commented, “As long as you are making a profit by producing medicines without compromising on quality (quality assurance), there is no problem in using that profit to give your employees cars, bungalows, ships—there is no issue with that. The problem arises when profit is earned by tampering with quality.”
A man suspected whether the EMIs for the vehicles would be deducted from the employees’ salaries? “Aur internally EMI salary se deduct hoga jo news mein nahi aayegaa (EMIs could be deducted from their salary),” said an individual.
But the MITS group founder’s stunning Diwali gift highlighted how leading companies today are going well beyond conventional tactics to keep their employees and workforce happy and satisfied with their jobs, admirably prioritising their well-being.
