Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its dream run at the box office, sustaining a strong pace into its second weekend. The mythical action epic, which premiered to record-breaking numbers on Dussehra,
has already grossed Rs 451 crore in India. It has cemented its place among the biggest Indian releases of the year so far.
On its second Monday, the film collected Rs 13.5 crore net across India, according to Sacnilk. As of now, the total amount stands at Rs 451.91 crore. This is an impressive figure for a second-week run. Considering that the 2022 film Kantara grossed around Rs 400 crore globally, it will be interesting to see how much Kantara Chapter 1 ultimately earns. On Thursday, the film recorded an overall 34.86% occupancy in Kannada, 18.18% in Telugu and 11.19% in Hindi screens.
Kantara Chapter 1: Collection So Far
Kantara Chapter 1 opened with Rs 61.85 crore on Thursday, followed by Rs 45.4 crore on Friday. Over the weekend, it earned Rs 55 crore on Saturday and Rs 63 crore on Sunday. The prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara has now become the second-highest-grossing Kannada film ever and the highest-grossing Kannada release of 2025. Remarkably, it is also one of this year’s top-grossing Indian films.
