Decoding Janhvi Kapoor’s Manish Malhotra Saree
Janhvi Kapoor draped a classic Manish Malhotra chiffon saree realised in a calm and serene shade of blue. Looking effortlessly glamorous in the delicate drape, Manish paired the saree with a textured
bandeau blouse. The surface texturing elevated Janhvi’s monochrome ensemble with panache.
Bringing a hint of drama to Janhvi’s style quotient was the dupatta. Crafted in a matching shade of blue, the drape was elevated with tassels. Janhvi kept her appearance simple yet timeless. She completed her look with a pair of earrings and ring from Jet Gems and bracelet from Golecha’s Jewels.
Janhvi’s glam was done by celebrity makeup artist Savleen Manchanda and her hair styled by Sourav Roy. Janhvi’s overall look did resemble the character Jasmine’s blue ensemble from the animation film, Aladdin. Well, her team rightly addressed Janhvi’s vibe as ‘desi princess energy’ on Instagram.
Pairing the dupatta with the saree does indeed bring drape drama to Janhvi’s look. Janhvi not only looked stunning in the ensemble but she also carried it off with a lot of confidence.
Recently, at Cannes, actor Alia Bhatt paired her custom Tamara Ralph pink strapless gown with a matching dupatta. Similarly, stars such as Camila Mendes and Haley Bieber flaunted the dupatta or Scandinavian scarf on the MET Gala 2026 red carpet.
Actress Camila Mendes arrived at the Met Gala 2026 in a mahogany custom couture gown by Manish Malhotra. The gown, structured through a corseted base and hand-ruched in French chiffon, gathered at the hip in a sculptural knot before cascading into a fluid trail. Its surface evokes the texture of dry brushstrokes, rendered in a deep mahogany hue drawn from her palette of Indian reds, browns, and ochres, lending depth and movement to the silhouette.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Vriddhi Cinemas and is all set to release June 4, 2026. Ram Charan plays the titular role, while Janhvi Kapoor stars as his love interest Achiyyamma. Shiva Rajkumar appears as Gourinaidu, Divyendu plays Rambujji and Jagapathi Babu essays Appalasoori.
