Punjab Kings wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh, who was dropped from India’s T20I squad for the upcoming three-match series against Afghanistan in New Delhi, has slammed his second century in three days. The 26-year-old right-handed batter from Punjab opened the innings for Jalandhar Warriors in their Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026 match against Bhatinda Royals in Mohali on Thursday (September 3) and scored 110 runs off 56 balls.
During his stay at the crease at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Prabhsimran smashed 10 fours and seven sixes to help Jalandhar Warriors post a total of 205 runs in 19.3 overs, which ultimately proved enough to secure a three-run victory.
Before scoring a century for Jalandhar on Thursday, Prabhsimran had played an unbeaten knock of 125 runs off just 47 balls against Amritsar Soormas on Tuesday.
Prabhsimran’s knock against Amritsar came just hours after he was dropped from India’s squad for the shortest-format series against Afghanistan.
Prabhsimran, who represents Punjab Kings in the IPL, was part of India’s T20I squad for the three-match series against Zimbabwe in July 2026. However, he did not get an opportunity to play a single match during the series.
He was then dropped by the BCCI selectors on Tuesday to make way for Sanju Samson in India’s T20I squad for the three-match series against Afghanistan.
Prabhsimran, who holds the record for scoring the most runs in the IPL by an uncapped player, had earned his maiden India call-up in 2023 for the Asian Games. However, he did not get an opportunity to play a single match in Hangzhou, China.
Almost three years later, he was picked again for India’s tour of Zimbabwe under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy. However, he once again failed to find a place in the playing XI despite Abhishek Sharma’s poor form.
Prabhsimran, who was the top run-scorer for PBKS in the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League, currently tops the run-scoring charts in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026. In three matches for Jalandhar Warriors so far, the former India U19 star has scored 311 runs.
Before his knocks of 110 and 125*, Prabhsimran had scored 76 runs off 42 balls against Fazilka Falcons on August 31, but his effort was not enough to help Jalandhar secure a victory.
