The first ODI of the three-match series between India and South Africa will be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Sunday, November 30. In the absence of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, who were appointed as India’s new ODI captain and vice-captain, respectively, on October 4, 2025, KL Rahul will lead the side. After a disappointing performance in the recently concluded two-match Test series, Indian players would like to come up with a big show with the bat and ball in the series opener today to silence critics and also go 1-0 up in the series.
The match on Sunday in Ranchi will be the 7th ODI at the JSCA International Stadium Complex. In the last 12 years, India have played six 50-over matches at this stadium and have won
three fixtures.
