Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth: Enzo Maresca Booed As Blues Stumble At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea’s struggles continued at Stamford Bridge as fans expressed their displeasure over Enzo Maresca’s decision to substitute Cole Palmer during a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday. The match saw

David Brooks gave Bournemouth an early lead, but the Cherries’ defensive weaknesses were soon exposed. Palmer equalised with a penalty, and Enzo Fernandez capitalised on open space to score from distance. However, Chelsea’s defence faltered again when Justin Kluivert converted Antoine Semenyo’s long throw.

The home crowd voiced their frustration as Maresca replaced Palmer with Joao Pedro after 60 minutes. Chelsea’s evening nearly worsened in stoppage time, but Enes Unal squandered a chance to secure Bournemouth’s first win since October 26.

Meanwhile, Newcastle secured their second away league win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Burnley. Goals from Joelinton and Yoane Wissa put the Magpies 2-0 ahead within seven minutes. Burnley, now winless in 10 games, reduced the deficit through Josh Laurent and came close to an equaliser, striking the woodwork twice before Bruno Guimaraes sealed the win for Newcastle.

Everton, despite being depleted, climbed into the top half of the table by defeating Nottingham Forest 2-0, marking their second win over former boss Sean Dyche in a month. James Garner and Thierno Barry scored for the Toffees, leaving Forest just four points above the relegation zone.

West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Brighton further complicated Forest’s situation. Jarrod Bowen gave the Hammers an early lead, but Brighton equalised through Danny Welbeck, who missed a second penalty. Lucas Paqueta restored West Ham’s lead, but Joel Veltman scored from a corner to secure a point for Brighton.
