on-screen charisma. Fans and fellow celebrities have flooded social media with heartfelt wishes, commemorating the veteran star’s monumental contribution to cinema.
Among the first to wish the veteran actor was comedian-turned-actor Krushna Abhishek, who shared a cherished picture with Amitabh Bachchan on Instagram. He wrote: “Wishing you a very happy birthday sir Amitabh Bachchan you have always been my fav since my childhood. Pray for you to be healthy and happy, always love and wish.”

Amitabh Bachchan: A Cinematic Journey Spanning Five Decades
Amitabh Bachchan’s journey in Hindi cinema is nothing short of legendary. He began his career in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s Bhuvan Shome but rose to fame in the early 1970s with unforgettable performances in films such as Anand, Zanjeer and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan.
By the mid-1970s, he was dubbed India’s “Angry Young Man” for his intense portrayals in films like Deewaar and Zanjeer, capturing the nation’s imagination. Throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, Amitabh consistently starred in top-grossing hits including Sholay, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Don, Trishul, Coolie and Mard.
Some of his most critically acclaimed performances include Namak Haraam, Chupke Chupke, Do Anjaane, Kaala Patthar, Silsila, Yaarana, Kaalia, Satte Pe Satta, Shahenshah and Agneepath. Additionally, Amitabh will reprise his role as Ashvatthama in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2, the sequel to the sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. Set in the futuristic year 2898 AD, the film promises a unique blend of science fiction and ancient mythology, with shooting expected to begin in December 2025.
