England’s opening batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge entered her name in the history books on Sunday (July 5) by becoming the first player in the world to score 300 runs in one edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The right-handed batter, who is the most capped player for England in women’s T20Is, needed six runs in the final of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup against Australia at Lord’s to take her tally to 300 runs in the ongoing tournament, and she scored her sixth run on the first ball of the fourth over of England’s innings.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge has been in red-hot form in this year’s T20 World Cup. She scored an unbeaten century for England in the first match against Sri Lanka and then
also played knocks of 65 against the West Indies and an unbeaten 89 against the 2024 winners, New Zealand.

As of now, Danni has 47 sixes to her name in 166 innings.
The world record for hitting the most sixes in women’s T20Is is in the name of former New Zealand captain Sophie Devine and West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin. Both Devine and Dottin have smashed 134 sixes each so far.
