Nicki Minaj made headlines once again after stepping into the political spotlight, this time with a fashion moment that quickly became part of the conversation. The Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper appeared alongside former US President Donald Trump at the Treasury Department event in Washington DC, where she openly declared herself his “number one fan” and showed off a Trump “gold card” visa.
While her remarks drew attention, it was her carefully styled outfit that truly stood out. For the public appearance, Minaj chose a look very different from her usual avant-garde self.

Nicki Minaj’s outfit for Trump support
She layered an oversized white fur coat, complete with a leather
collar and matching belt, over a butter-yellow Alaïa high-neck jersey dress. The dress, priced at $3,750, featured a clean silhouette and modest neckline, marking a shift from the rapper’s more daring red carpet choices. The soft pastel tone added warmth to the look, while the structured coat brought drama and presence.
She completed the outfit with white suede Alaïa heels worth $1,450 and subtle gold jewellery that added polish without overpowering the ensemble. Her hair was worn long, straight, and sleek, styled with a deep side part that framed her face neatly and kept the focus on her outfit.
However, the detail that caught everyone’s eye was her manicure. Minaj sported long, iridescent chrome-painted nails that shimmered under the lights. Even Trump commented on them during the event, joking about letting his own nails grow because he liked them
so much.
The appearance marked a notable moment for Minaj, who was once vocal about her criticism of Trump’s immigration policies. As debates continue around immigration and recent protests involving ICE actions, her presence and style choices added another layer to
an already charged public moment.
While she was on stage, the rapper called herself “probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change.” She added, “And the hate, or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”

Nicki Minaj shows off gold Visa card
After the event, Nicki took to her X and shared a picture of the Gold Visa with Trump’s face embossed on it, as she shared the picture, she wrote, “Welp.” In a follow-up post, she wrote, “Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalising that citizenship paperwork
as we speak, as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you.”
Donald Trump’s “gold card” was launched in December to expedite US citizenship for wealthy immigrants. They must pay $1 million and a $15,000 processing fee in return for U.S. residency. However, the $1 million charge was waived for rapper Niki Minaj.
