Hanuman Ansh is minting money at the box office and it shows no signs of slowing down. Even after seven weeks in theatres, the film continues attracting audiences. The Vishal Chaturvedi-directorial has even entered the list of the top 50 highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
It’s hard to believe that Hanuman Ansh started with just Rs 10 lakh. The film made only around Rs 1.50 crore in its first two weeks and seemed to be struggling at the box office. But things changed soon after as word of mouth brought more audiences to theatres. From its fourth week onwards, the film has been making over Rs 60 crore net in India every week.
Now in its eighth weekend, Hanuman Ansh added another Rs 18.95 crore to its India collection. Sunday was its biggest
day of the weekend, with the film making Rs 9 crore net. Its total India net collection has now reached Rs 307 crore, while its gross stands at around Rs 362 crore after 52 days. The film crossed the Rs 300-crore mark on Sunday, joining the small list of Hindi films to achieve the milestone.
The film also took some time to reach international markets. It was released overseas nearly six weeks after its India release, but has gradually picked up there as well. It has now crossed $4 million overseas, taking its worldwide collection to around Rs 402 crore.

The latest milestone has also pushed Hanuman Ansh into the top 50 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. During the weekend, it went past the lifetime collections of Krrish 3 (Rs 393 crore) and Chennai Express (Rs 392 crore). It then moved ahead of 3 Idiots (Rs 400 crore) and Kantara (Rs 401 crore) as its worldwide total crossed Rs 400 crore.
Hanuman Ansh tells the story of Neem Karoli Baba and is planned as the first instalment of a trilogy. Vishal Chaturvedi has written, directed and produced the film under his banner, Swambhu Media Network. The film is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, which delves into Neem Karoli Baba’s spiritual journey.
The story follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy living in pre-Independence India, who leaves home after his mother’s death. He travels across North India in search of God, a journey that eventually transforms his life and leads him towards becoming Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand play the lead roles, while Anil Rastogi, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel and Neha Paranjpe are part of the supporting cast.
Vishal Bawa has handled the cinematography, while Shankh Rajadhyaksha has edited the film. Shishir Chousalkar and Mayur Mohanan have worked on the sound design, with Pankaj Vashisht overseeing the visual effects. Hanuman Ansh was released in theatres on August 7, 2026.
