After seven long years of silence and speculation, peace has finally returned to one of Bollywood’s most public family rifts. Sunita Ahuja, wife of veteran actor Govinda, has confirmed that their feud with Krushna Abhishek has officially ended. In a heartfelt conversation with Pinkvilla, Sunita reflected on the reconciliation, her memories with Krushna’s late mother Padma Sharma, and how their family bond runs deeper than misunderstandings ever could.
“She was the first to know about my and Govinda’s affair”
Opening up about her early days with Govinda, Sunita fondly recalled how Krushna’s mother, Padma Sharma — Govinda’s sister — was the first to learn about their love story. “Krushna’s mom was my most favourite, and she was the one who actually
knew about mine and Govinda’s affair, as I was introduced to her first,” Sunita shared warmly. “She was my favourite, and today, for Govinda’s success and everything, she deserves it all.”
Her words offered a rare glimpse into the family’s emotional history — one built on affection, shared dreams, and deep-rooted respect that predated the public fallout.
“How long can I be angry with my kids?”
When asked about the years-long tension with Krushna and his wife, actor Kashmera Shah, Sunita’s tone reflected nothing but forgiveness. “How long can I be angry with my kids?” she said with a smile. “Why hold grudges when everyone is happy in their own space? I only want to give blessings to all the kids; they are like my own.”
Her remarks suggest that the family has finally moved past the hurt and misunderstandings that once divided them, choosing warmth and reconciliation over resentment.
The seven-year rift comes to an end
The feud reportedly began in 2016 when a joke cracked by Krushna on The Kapil Sharma Show was said to have upset Govinda and Sunita. The fallout grew worse after a public exchange of words between Sunita and Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah.
However, time — and perhaps nostalgia — healed old wounds. In 2024, the family shared an emotional reunion on The Great Indian Kapil Show, a symbolic moment that fans hailed as the long-overdue end to one of Bollywood’s most talked-about family feuds.
Today, Sunita’s statement feels like the final closure — not just for the Ahujas and the Abhisheks, but for audiences who had long rooted for their reconciliation. Her words, steeped in grace and gratitude, remind us that at the end of every storm, family always finds its way back home.
