Uttar Pradesh on Friday conducted large-scale mock drills across all 75 districts to assess preparedness for war-like and air attack emergency situations. The exercise was organised by the Civil Defence
Department in coordination with district administrations and other line departments.
The drills aimed to spread awareness among civilians and test response mechanisms such as blackout protocols, emergency communication and coordination between various agencies.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present during the mock drill exercise in Lucknow.
In Ayodhya, a mock drill was carried out under the supervision of the Civil Defence Department. As part of the exercise, a temporary blackout was implemented to simulate an air attack scenario. Sirens were sounded and residents were advised to follow safety instructions issued by authorities.

ADM City Yoganand Pandey said the drill was aimed at educating people about how to respond during emergencies. “This drill was completely successful. We want this message to reach all the people of the district so that they know how to keep themselves safe in any emergency situation,” he said.
