Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, stating he “emerged like a lotus despite all gloom”.
PM Modi marked his 76th birthday on Thursday, September 17, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) urging citizens to light diyas to offer their blessings to the Prime Minister.
Speaking at a rally Vadnagar in Gujarat, Shah said: “Like lotus blooms, the Prime Minister has emerged like a lotus despite all gloom”.

“After 25 years, you can’t even name one person from his family
who are involved in anything. The country itself is his family”.
Shah noted that under PM Modi’s governance, common citizens who contribute in various sectors are recipients of the Padma awards.
“As a Home Minister, I saw this roaming around power corridors seeking Padma awards but even the most common citizens are now recipients. PM Modi has believed in ‘benefit for all, appeasement for none'”, he said.
Under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Shah also flagged off a bike rally from Vadnagar to Varanasi, the Parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Modi.
The BJP kicked off its special month-long campaign titled ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’on Thursday, September 17, to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime PM Modi’s service in public life.
September 17 marks PM’s birthday, while October will mark the completion of 25 years of his public service.
Earlier today, Shah dropped a birthday post for PM Modi on X, acknowledging his contributions in the development of the country.
