Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s IPL 2026 heroics have done more than rewrite record books. In fact, they have turned the 15-year-old into one of the most sought-after faces in Indian sport.
According to Economic Times, several leading brands are already in talks to sign the Rajasthan Royals batting sensation, with companies from categories including sports drinks, cricket equipment, nutrition products and performance footwear keen to secure endorsement deals.
The scramble comes after a season that elevated Sooryavanshi from promising youngster to household name. While Rajasthan Royals fell short of the final after losing to Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2, the teenager emerged as the undisputed breakout star of the tournament.
A Season for the Ages
Sooryavanshi
finished IPL 2026 as the competition’s leading run-scorer, amassing 776 runs in 16 innings at an average of 48.5 and an astonishing strike rate of 237.3.
His campaign included one century and five half-centuries, helping him clinch both the Orange Cap and the Most Valuable Player award. Even finalists Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were unable to catch him in the run-scoring charts.
The milestone carried added significance because Sooryavanshi became the youngest Orange Cap winner in IPL history. At just 15 years and 65 days old, he comfortably surpassed the previous record held by Sudharsan.
Why Brands Are Interested
Executives believe brands are eager to secure an early association with a player widely viewed as a long-term investment.
“Brands are queuing to sign him for first-mover advantage. He has a long career ahead of him,” one executive told Economic Times, adding that there is currently a shortage of consistently performing Indian cricket stars in the endorsement market.
Interestingly, companies are now favouring shorter agreements of two to three years rather than traditional long-term contracts, allowing them greater flexibility based on a player’s future form and popularity.
Building A Brand Carefully
Despite the growing commercial interest, Sooryavanshi’s rise is expected to be managed cautiously.
Rajasthan Royals are understood to be helping his family navigate endorsement opportunities, with a focus on partnerships that suit his age and personality.
After all, Sooryavanshi may already own the Orange Cap, the MVP award and even a Tata Sierra as IPL Super Striker of the Season — but at 15, he is still only at the beginning of what could be a remarkable career, both on and off the field.
