YouTube Premium Lite Launch Price India: YouTube has introduced its Premium Lite version in India this week offering another and cheaper way for people to get ad-free content on the platform. The Premium Lite in its new avatar was introduced back in May this year and now extended to one of the most important markets for YouTube.

The Premium Lite plan offers an ad-free experience, providing users with a budget-friendly alternative to the standard premium subscription.

YouTube Premium Lite in India is priced at Rs 89 per month which is Rs 60 (per month) less than what you would pay for the full Premium membership in the country. 

The Premium Lite version is also charged for a month and it allows subscribers

to enjoy videos without seeing any ads. However, unlike the standard Premium plans, the Premium Lite plan only eliminates ads for select content.

So, if you buy the Lite version, you will not get to use YouTube Music, or support for downloaded content for local playback and more. You probably get that YouTube will have to limit its benefits for the Premium Lite users who can eventually consider upgrading.

If you don’t like the benefits of Premium Lite for Rs 89 per month, YouTube says take the full Premium membership. This version gives you ad-free access across both YouTube and YouTube Music. Premium plans start at Rs 149 per month and you have three subscription plans to cater to different users.

The individual plan starts at Rs 149/month, available as prepaid or monthly, with a free trial for new subscribers. Next comes the family plan, priced at Rs 299 per month. This allows users to add up to five family members aged 13 and older, with a one-month trial available for free. Additionally, a student plan is available for a discounted rate of Rs 89 per month for eligible students.
