A new video is taking over social media, giving travellers a glimpse into one of the coolest upgrades at Bengaluru’s International Airport, sleeping pods at the 080 lounge. What once felt like a luxury
available only in airports in a foreign land is now a reality for passengers in Bengaluru and the Internet can’t stop talking about it.
The viral video begins with a woman relaxing inside the sleeping pod as its remote-controlled doors slide shut automatically. The cozy, capsule-like space looks straight out of a futuristic travel lounge. It has dim mood lighting, soft background music and a comfortable bed that seems perfect for anyone with long layovers, delayed flights or early morning departures.

Sleeping Pod’s Control Panel
The woman gives a close-up of the pod’s control panel, and it shows the features available, including fan controls, music settings, pod access buttons, seat recline, oxygen flow, seat heating, massage levels and mood light adjustments. With a single tap, travellers can personalise their resting experience.
The text overlay clip reads, “Guess what, finally we have sleeping pods in Bengaluru’s airport 080 lounge. If I’ve got a long day over or an early morning flight, this is honestly a lifesaver, I woke up feeling so fresh, it’s like your own cozy room right inside the airport.”
Internet’s Reaction
As social media viewers discovered the facility, many poured in their reactions in the comment section. A user commented, “Yeah it was cool! Had a flight to Dubai last night — just now escaping from Bengaluru airport.” Another added, “Accommodates only 1 person.”
For a section of people, the sleeping pod was “claustrophobic.” An individual wrote, “My claustrophobic thoughts were at its peak just watching this feel.” Someone else added, “Not my claustrophobia kicking.” A person expressed, “This is a nightmare for me.”
Amid the conversation, an individual highlighted the most important thing. She wrote, “And hope our people use it in a sensible way or else after a few months, either the mattress would be torn or the door handle would be worn off.”
“What if the door doesn’t open after getting in?” read a comment.
Whether it’s a quick power nap, a long rest between flights or simply a peaceful escape from the bustling terminal, these pods seem to be the perfect alternative for travellers.
