Looks like South cinema’s favourite duo is ready to make it official. After months of buzz and subtle hints, reports now claim Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are secretly engaged and planning
a royal February 2026 wedding in Udaipur. Neither star has confirmed it yet, but fans are convinced their on-screen magic has finally turned into a real-life fairy-tale romance.
The beloved Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade pair are once again in the spotlight — but this time, it’s not for a film. According to multiple social-media reports, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda exchanged rings in a private engagement ceremony held on 3 October 2025 at Vijay’s Hyderabad residence. The intimate celebration was reportedly attended only by family members and a few close friends.
Sources quoted by NDTV described the evening as “elegant and personal,” adding that the couple wanted to keep things low-key until wedding plans were finalised.
If reports are to be believed, the big day is already locked. The duo are expected to tie the knot on 26 February 2026 at a luxury palace venue in Udaipur, Rajasthan — and the internet can’t keep calm.
While promoting her new Telugu release The Girlfriend, Rashmika was asked about the engagement rumours during a light-hearted chat at Honest Townhall. Her playful response sent fans into a frenzy. In a round of “date, marry, or kill,” she smiled and said, “I would probably date Naruto… And marry, I’ll marry Vijay.” The crowd erupted, and the clip instantly went viral.
Later, when quizzed again at another event, Rashmika subtly added, “Everyone is aware about it,” fueling speculation even further.
Meanwhile, sources close to Vijay’s team have confirmed that the wedding plans are underway, giving more weight to the February date.
Fuel to the fire came earlier in October when Rashmika shared a cute video of her dog, Aura, where fans spotted a sparkling ring on her finger. Around the same time, Vijay was photographed at Sri Sathya Sai Baba Maha Samadhi wearing what looked like a matching band.
The two first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam (2018) and later reunited for Dear Comrade (2019). Their crackling chemistry has always had fans rooting for them — and now, if these reports hold true, the much-loved pair could be heading for their happily-ever-after.
