Mega 158: Chiranjeevi Announces Next With Bobby Kolli, Shares Intense Workout Video Ahead Of Launch

Chiranjeevi has finally shared an exciting update about his much-awaited upcoming film Mega 158, directed by Bobby Kolli. The megastar took to social media to reveal details regarding the film’s launch ceremony while also giving fans a glimpse into his intense preparation for the high-octane action entertainer.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Chiranjeevi shared the intense workout video and wrote, “Every day is another opportunity to push beyond limits…Charged up and excited for another memorable journey with my dear @director.bobby for #Mega158 Opening Ceremony on May 21st.” Fans reacted with heart emojis. Bobby also reacted, “Dear Annayya, Every time I see you train with this intensity and passion, it reminds me why you continue to inspire

generations. The fire, discipline and hunger in you are simply unmatched. It’s pushing me to dream bigger and work harder for #Mega158 Beyond excited to create something magical together once again. Opening Ceremony on May 21st.”

Chiranjeevi Locks Look Test

In April, director Bobby kolli confirmed that Chiranjeevi’s look test has been locked. “Look test Locked the look of #Mega158 with Megastar @KChiruTweets garu today Can’t wait to begin this journey #ChiruBobby2 @KvnProductions @LohithNK01.” Bobby confirmed that the film will go on floors very soon. In 2025, Pinkvilla has reported that Mohanlal is set to play an important role in Chiranjeevi’s next movie. The film is said to be a gangster action flick with an intense emotional backdrop. The other details about the film have not been revealed. But this would mark the first time Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal appear together on screen. Tentatively titled Mega158, the project marks director Bobby Kolli’s second collaboration with Chiranjeevi after the 2023 film Waltair Veerayya.

Chiranjeevi Wins Prestigious NTR National Film Award

Recently, Chiranjeevi thanked the Telangana government for honouring him with the prestigious NTR National Film Award, saying that receiving an award named after NTR garu is truly a great honour. Taking to his X timeline to pen a note of gratitude, Megastar Chiranjeevi wrote, “Many congratulations to all the winners of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025. It is always a joy to celebrate the hard work and passion of our film fraternity. My sincere thanks to the Government of Telangana, CM @revanth_anumula garu, @Bhatti_Mallu garu and the entire jury for honouring me with the NTR National Film Award. Receiving an award named after NTR garu is truly a great honour. Deeply grateful for the love and support that have been my greatest strength throughout my journey. ”

Chiranjeevi’s Last Work

The actor was last seen in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu with Nayanthara. It was released in January and received immense love. The action-comedy centres around a security officer, Shankara Vara Prasad (Chiranjeevi). He is assigned to protect his estranged wife and their children from a revenge-driven former cop, but finds himself facing more than just danger during this tense mission. The responsibility becomes an unexpected opportunity for him to mend broken ties and reconnect as a family after six years of separation.
