(UP), Sep 12 (PTI) Two people were killed and five others injured when a bus hit an auto-rickshaw in the Kotwali area here, police said on Saturday.
According to police, 22-year-old Dinesh and 20-year-old Lal died in the accident that occurred on Friday.
The speeding roadways bus coming from Kanpur rammed into the auto-rickshaw, causing it to split in two, on the Bilgram Road. Police shifted the injured to the District Hospital in Hardoi.
Circle Officer (City) Ajit Chauhan said police have sent both bodies for a post-mortem examination and seized the bus.
The driver of the bus as well as the auto-rickshaw are absconding, police said. PTI COR NAV RHL
