Ace India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli was seen taking a pause ahead of the match against the Mumbai Indians to take a glimpse of Urvil Patel’s stunning knock against Lucknow Super Giants, one that took Chennai Super Kings to a crucial win.
Just before Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s home clash against the Mumbai Indians at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, the moment unfolded on the sidelines as Kohli paused during his warm-up to hydrate.
Kohli caught a replay of Urvil’s big-hitting display at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk and stopped in front of the TV screen. What was meant to be a brief break turned into a longer watch for Kohli, as he stayed back to take in the knock.

Urvil delivered a brilliant performance against Lucknow Super Giants, reaching his fifty in just 13 balls. He smashed five sixes in five successive deliveries, equalling the record for the fastest half-century in Indian Premier League history.
Urvil was dismissed after a blistering 65 off just 23 balls, a knock that proved crucial in Chennai Super Kings bagging two points against Lucknow Super Giants. The victory over LSG lifted CSK to fifth place in the standings, with 12 points from 11 games.
Thanks to Urvil’s explosive knock, along with composed finishing from Shivam Dube (15 not out off 7 balls) and Prashant Veer (17 not out off 12 balls), Chennai Super Kings chased down the target of 204 with four balls to spare.
Sanju Samson gave CSK a quick start with a brisk 28, before Urvil took over with a brilliant assault on the LSG bowling attack. He targeted the likes of Digvesh Rathi and Avesh Khan, while also taking on experienced campaigners such as Mohammed Shami.
