Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh described the occasion as a landmark moment for the region and its residents.
Dhirendra Singh told ANI, “This is a huge day because I represent the people of Jewar, and since they elected me, it is a significant day for me as well. We had a dream, a vision, that the very farmers whom we had once persuaded with folded hands to agree to this massive project would one day fly on the planes operating from here. They are about to witness a historic journey; they will be the witnesses to the very first flight taking off from this site. It is undoubtedly a moment of pride for all the residents of this region. I would like to thank the UP Chief Minister and the Prime Minister for making all these arrangements at my request and for taking the time to meet the farmers…”
As per the officials, the airport’s first phase is complete, with a capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually.
