New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) The Department of Financial Services under the finance ministry on Thursday launched the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign.
At the launch, Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary (DFS), led the Swachhata Pledge ceremony, the finance ministry said in a statement.
The campaign is being observed across the country from September 17 to October 2, 2026, guided by the central theme ‘Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’.
During the campaign, the department will primarily focus on the transformation of cleanliness target units (CTUs), clean public spaces and mass cleanliness drives, it said.
In accordance with the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2026, all administrative and commercial premises of organisations
are enforcing mandatory 4-way source segregation of waste (dry, wet, hazardous, and e-waste), it said. PTI DP ANU
