(UP), Jun 28 (PTI) Thirty five crocodile hatchlings were found in a check dam in the Ghorawal tehsil here on Sunday, an official said.
Five crocodile eggs were also discovered at the site.
Jugail Range Forest Range Officer Awadhesh Kumar Singh said the water level at the check dam — located at Chhitirpurwa in Semiya village — is low at present.
The babies were spotted by villagers who reported their presence to the Forest Department.
Authorities collected the hatchlings in sacks and released them into the Son River. PTI COR NAV VN VN
