Kotak Mahindra Bank Stock Split 2026: Kotak Mahindra Bank has fixed Wednesday, January 14, 2026, as the record date for the stock split in the ratio of 1:5 as announced earlier. It means a stock of the bank with the face value of Rs 5 each will be split into 5 stocks with face value of Rs 1 each.
“We refer to our intimation dated November 21, 2025 in connection with the sub-division of existing equity shares of the Bank and wish to inform you pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 42 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosures Requirements) Regulations, 2015 that the Bank has fixed Wednesday, January 14, 2026 as the ‘Record Date’ to determine the eligible equity shareholders of the Bank whose equity shares will be sub-divided,” the company said in the filing.
A stock split in the 1:5 ratio means that one existing share is split into five shares, increasing the total number of shares while reducing the price per share proportionately. Stock splits are usually done to improve liquidity and make the stock more affordable for retail investors, as a lower share price can attract wider participation in the market.
Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank traded in red at Rs 2,154 apiece from the previous day’s close at Rs 2,158 apiece.
